Prof. Jason Pomeroy was invited by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic, Štefan Holý and the State Secretary, Martin Hypký to speak in the virtual conference ‘Technology in Urban Planning’. Pomeroy Academy’s ongoing research in the realm of smart and sustainable cities was referenced across six ideas to shape the future of cities. This included case studies in urban air mobility, approaches to food and energy self-sustenance and waterborne urbanism to align with the Slovak Republic’s vision of positioning Bratislava as a smart city.
